Basics For Credit Card Protection

May 6th, 2012 by admin

Getting a credit card protection plan is always a good idea. But that doesn’t mean you can just let your guard down. Protecting your card from thieves is a never ending process. But it’s an easy one. Let’s look at some of the basics of protecting your credit card.

Keep your Card in Sight at All Times

Always keep your card within your sight. Even at restaurants, you have the option to personally take a trip to the front and watch them swipe your card. Any time a card leaves your sight, thieves have the potential to get your information. Of course, a credit card protection plan will help prevent this from becoming an issue.

Never Take Multiple Swipes for Granted

Sometimes cashiers have to swipe your card more than once to get it to take. There are many reason why this might happen. However, don’t take this for granted. Always ask why. After all, it doesn’t hurt to ask why and it might stray a potential thief from using your information.

Be Wary of Websites

Never (under any circumstances) use your card on an unsecured website. This can be determined by looking at the lower right corner of the page. Secured sites will have a lock icon. If that icon isn’t there, do not use your credit card.

Never Carry Multiple Cards

This is a good idea in case you lose your wallet or purse. The danger is that identity thieves will normally just take one card in hopes that you won’t notice. Leave all of your unused cards at home.

Be Wary of Cell Phones

Don’t give your information over a cell phone. Only use home phone lines to provide credit card information if you intend to make a purchase. If you don’t own a home phone, then always be sure you’re alone when you say the number.

Pre-paid Cards for Online Purchases

Buying a pre-paid card for use online is a great idea if you do a lot of online shopping. The reason why this is a good idea is because your danger is limited to the amount of money on the card. Therefore, you will have created your own credit card protection plan.

Making an Effort to Avoid Bankruptcy

May 5th, 2012 by admin

Going bankrupt is something that nobody wants to consider and in the post recession economy it has unfortunately become the only option for many people. But for individuals who are looking for other options before they absolutely must apply for bankruptcy, it is possible to consider some official debt negotiation with particular creditors and as this might allow someone to make payments and avoid going bankrupt if they can otherwise make limited payments on various types of debt. The good thing about debt negotiation is that it is an option that can allow a person with debt to avoid time spent in court.

Find Out How Option Trading Works

May 5th, 2012 by admin

Unlike the stock market, option trading allows you to purchase the option to make a purchase. If that makes any sense at all. For instance, you buy the option to purchase a home later on down the road and you later find out the home has serious flaws and would not be worth the price the seller is asking. All you are out is the money you spent on the option giving you no obligation to go through with the actual sale.

Brother’s Payday Loan For Car Repair

May 4th, 2012 by admin

My brother told me he just applied online for a payday loan. His car needs some work right away and he doesn’t get paid until the end of the month. He said the loan website was easy to use. He filled out the information they wanted about his job and bank account information. Then clicked the button that said “click here.” Within a few minutes, he received an email that he’d been approved for the loan. He was amazed how simple it was.

Making ends meet

May 4th, 2012 by admin

It’s been a pretty tough month again this month.  I got paid from my job five days ago and I have less than 200 left to see me through til next payday. I have all my kids Birthdays in May and 200 just isn’t going to cut the mustard. I just had a big bill getting my car through its MOT last week. I knew it would be expensive but it turned out to be a crippling blow to my already delicate finances.

I have been thinking about getting in touch with one of those text loan companies to see if I can get some kind of budgeting loan to tide me over until payday. Thankfully I had a big overtime ticket to put in last month so I should be able to borrow a few hundred and pay it back with that at the end of the month without too much impact.  A friend of mine said he had heard that you could just send a cash advance text to some of these providers and they put the money straight into your bank account within fifteen minutes. That just seems absurd to me but you do see the adverts all over the TV now for dozens of these payday loan type companies so I suppose I shouldn’t be too surprised.

All I’m worried about is making it to the end of this month relatively solvent. I won’t be spending a fortune on the kids birthdays this year but they know things are tight at the moment and they are good kids so they won’t complain. It’s not like they go without the rest of the year!

End of the Semester

May 4th, 2012 by admin

He is sad and he feels guilty because he told his brother that it seems like all he does is to ask his parents to transfer money. He says he does not feel like he is in a good space both with his parents and where he decided to move to. He told his brother that he feels so stuck because he knows he has to stay there at least for the end of the semester if he wants to get his credit for his classes.
